Manta 'Beesmej'

Bernard Logan's Manta. [19R above] [26R]

Kay Kjellgard's Malo

Kay Kjellgard from Torslanda, Sweden is very active with the Malö Yacht Club (Malöklubben). The 26-R PortVisors™ on his Malö is a big hit and several others in the Club (with different size boats) have also ordered them. [26-R]

He passed along the following from the Malöklubben, "Thank you for the perfekt PortVisors!"

Ocean's Dream

Adrian is one of our longtime email friends, since we communicated regularly throughout the long development (it seemed like an eternity to us) of the 26-R PortVisor™. When these longer rain shields were finally ready for sale, we then had to wait until Adrian and Jackie were in a part of the world where receiving packages was possible and reliable. [26-R]

Manta 'Beesmej'

Bernard and Maggie Logan hail from the UK and sail throughout the Altantic. When we asked about the name of their Manta, Bernard emailed,"The name Beesmej was forced upon us. My initials are B L; Maggie's are M E J. We had asked the British Registry for "B'SMEJ"; but they would not allow a punctuation in the name. So BEESMEJ sounded the same as B'SMEJ; hence the name.

So as not to have the name of the yacht on the tender, Maggie chose "Real Jem"; jem being the reverse order of her initials. Actually, the best name combination we have come across belonged to a mega-yacht in Antigua. The yacht was absolutely beautiful and was called "Illusion". The tender was called "Reality"! [19R] [26R]

Ocean's Dream

Jackie applies her creative photographic skills no matter what the subject, including the PortVisors™ on their Admiral 40. [26-R]

After Adrian and Jackie's oh so patient wait, we are proud to have them say, "We plan a circumnavigation and have already found Seaworthy’s Port Visors have made a real change to our lives. We are now able to leave the port lights open whilst we are away from the boat and can get some sleep at night without fear of getting wet! The new larger PortVisors have been well worth the wait!"

Beneteau 423

Stuart Kaufman of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan installed PortVisors on his Beneteau 423. [15-R, 26-R]

I think they are going to work great. Because the cabin top slopes down on an angle I could never leave the ports open even in a light rain. I think these are going work perfectly to allow for ventilation in rainy weather. They also look nice and clean and don’t effect the lines.

Beneteau 423

Thank you very much, Stuart Kaufman, for your posting on the Beneteau 423 owners internet group:
"For years, every time it rains I have to shut all hatches and ports and suffer having no ventilation in the cabin. Because of the slope of the cabin top water runs in the side ports no matter how light the rain. I have thought about making some sort of a gutter or awning but never figured out an elegant solution. I just came across a product called PortVisor and installed them this spring. I now can leave the ports open in the rain and have some ventilation without having the rain come in. BTW, I don’t have any financial or other interest in the company that makes this product, I just think it solves a problem in a very elegant way."

James Kane's Beneteau

James Kane sails his 2005 Beneteau 393 in the Florida Keys, among other places. The boat uses both the 26-R and the 14-R size PortVisors. In this photo the 14-R is in the foreground. [14-R, 26-R]

Beneteau 423

Not long after installing the rain shields on his Beneteau 423, Stuart Kaufman emailed us, BTW it rained hard last night and no water got in the boat. [15-R, 26-R]

TESTIMONIALS

Matthew & Natasha H — Cairns, Australia

"PortVisors are great, they stop the rain coming in at night so dad doesn't have to get up and close the hatches. Then he isn't cranky when doing our home schooling the next day."

[This feedback and pic are from 2008, right after we started Seaworthy Goods. Both are still our favorites because they gave us inspiration when we needed it most.]

Mark R — NEW ZEALAND

"What a fantastic product! So easy to install and so effective! This has completely transformed my boat and the way I live inside. I can leave the windows open in most weathers and my boat can breathe! I would also like to commend you on the quality of the product, strong, durable and attractive. 16 months on and they are exactly as on the day of installation with no issues whatsoever! I can honestly say that this is the best 'value' thing I have done on my boat."

Regina C —Jacksonville, FL
"I would like to tell you how happy we are with the PortVisors we ordered last week. As new sailboat owners, you worry that you might get carried away with buying stuff. Well, that is not the case with PortVisors. They proved their worth this week after a storm.

[with 2nd order] We really loved the first 2 we ordered last week. A wonderful addition to our boat and increases our quality of life."

Steve D — BC, Canada

"I received the PortVisors on Friday, installed them on Saturday and I'm very pleased with the results. I was a little concerned about the tape when I ordered them but as I was doing the installation I soon realized it holds very well and does the trick and I'm glad I didn't need to drill holes. Thanks very much for an excellent product."

Val f — St Francis 44' cat

"I am pleased to say that my port visors are on and life aboard has changed ... I can leave the portholes open and especially at night we get a much more comfortable night's sleep. Thank you! The brilliant port visors do the job!"

Janice P — 35' Marine Trader

"These visors and this company is the best! I bought 3 in 2012 and they are still perfect, except for the epoxy that somebody dripped on one of them. I am most comfortable recommending Seaworthy Goods to everyone."

Robyn & David P — Sarawak, Malaysia

"We love your PortVisors. They allow us to live in the topics and get air through the boat without the accompanying rain. Terrific. Thank you."

John P — USVI

"Hurricane Irma almost totaled my Beneteau while on the hard, so I need to replace 2 PortVisors. The other 8 stayed on. Your PortVisors are awesome!

When it rains I'm happily getting ventilation while other yachts are hunkered down running their AC or just closed up sweating down below. I tie off my anchor to my starboard forward cleat and open all the ports on the port side where the galley, etc resides. No problem!"

Sara & Larry G — Trawler in Canada

"We recently purchased some PortVisors from you guys and love them to death. We have owned our trawler for five years and this is the first time we have opened up the front sleeping cabin. Finally fresh. They have not let any water in though wide open during some severe rain storms. So thank you very much ... and thanks for being so helpful when ordering."

Matt S — CRUISING

"We installed four Visors in 2010. Then went cruising for 6 years, Florida to Trinidad and back; up to Newport and down, and now in Guatemala. All kinds of weather, seas, and abuse — being kicked occasionally. They held up quite well. We are definitely pleased with your product. Thanks for making it!"
